Pasco County, FL Crime Hotspots
This study examined the pattern of distribution of burglary and theft in Pasco County from 2010 and 2012. The methods used to analyze this pattern include spatial autocorrelation, high/low clustering, hot spot analysis, cluster and outlier analysis and CrimeStat’s nearest neighbor hierarchical clustering (Nnh). The results showed hot spots around the northwestern region of the county. The nearest neighbor hierarchical clustering Nnh showed clusters in the first, second and third orders. These clusters were located in the western region of the county. This area also referred to the west market area.
LULC of Pasco County, FL
This project examined the land cover change of Pasco County, Florida over a 20 year period (1993-2013). Five satellite images were classified using a 1993, 1998, 2003, and 2008 TM Landsat satellite, and a 2013 OLI/TIRS Landsat Image. The classification accuracy of all five classified image was assessed by comparing the result of the classes with images obtained from Google Earth high resolution images.
Pasco County Capital Improment Projects
This website was created to show to the residents the various capital projects that are on going in the County. It shows the on going projects for the transportation department, utilities department and the stormwater department. The transportation web page has been completed while utilities and stormwater pages are still pending. They will be updated withing the next year
Service Area of Parks (Network Analysis)
This project examined the a 1-mile, 3-mile, 5-mile and 10-mile service area for parks within Pasco County. This was intended to highlight areas within the County that do not have easy accessibility to any of the parts within the County and plot the necessary solution to resolve the issue.
